I had my first iPad sighting yesterday. A guy in his late 30s watching a movie, on the 2 train, with noise canceling headphones. He wasn’t exactly gloating but definitely proud. I’m not sure if I will get one but it seems like a very good way to ignore the terrible light and shoulder to shoulder crowds of a rush hour commute.
(For the record I was reading the new Scott Bradfield novel I got at Three Lives. I’m only 30 pages in but it’s pretty damn funny. The Independent call him “a wild card, the Raymond Carver of the crystal-healing set,” if you like that kind of thing.)
