I’m pretty excited that Alessandra Sanguinetti‘s “The Adventures of Guille and Belinda and the Enigmatic Meaning of their Dreams” is finally coming out. I’ve been hoping to find an inexpensive copy of Light Work’s Contact Sheet 120 for a while. This body of work was first published there as far as I know.
There is an honesty and poetic realism to Sanguinetti’s work that I deeply admire. There is a certain dignity and respect.
I found an interesting interview with her over at Sabine Mirlesse‘s White Hot Magazine. She talks about being more comfortable shooting in her native Argentina and heads back once a year to shoot for a few months. This is doing very little to alleviate the road trip itch I feel welling up inside me!
Nazraeli Press and Yossi Milo are publishing it so the quality should be impeccable.
